Trout Season officially opened a couple of weeks ago and another Leaky Waders 1K is in the history books! Thanks to everyone that came out to help us celebrate and congratulations to the winners!
As is becoming customary the Crawford Family had another strong showing this year! Alex Crawford took first in the Boy's division and his sisters Madison and Ada took first and second in the Girl's division. Sarah Crawford ran third in the Women's division right behind first and second place finishers Carde Mueller-Brumbaugh and Diana McComas. Men's division winners were Chuck Hewitt (first), John Hunter (second) and Greg McComas (third).
We want to thank all the runners and walkers for joining us this year and a big shout out to the local businesses that donated prizes: Lovells Riverside Tavern, North Branch Outing Club, Kelloggs Bridge Grocery, Tip’n the Mitten and North Star Auto Wash. Thank you all for helping make this event memorable.
Finally we were thrilled to have such good attendance at the Lovells Arts & Crafts Fair, thanks to Stacy McKellip, Dan Feldhauser, Nathan Baker, Nancy Klein, Cabin Lamp Designs, RKP Cane Rods and author Lewie Johnson and his daughter Sandi McIntire for coming out with all your wonderful creations and kudos to Casting for Recovery and Au Sable North Branch Area Foundation and TU's Mason Grifith Founders Chapter for joining us to let people know about all the good work you are doing.
We are already looking forward to next year but we've got a long season of fun ahead of us first. Mark your calendars for Saturday October 4th for our Fall Upland Dinner and Expo and stay tuned to our website and our Facebook page to see what else we come up with in the meantime.
