Hot Stove Season is Here! Mark Your Calendars.

It's that time of year again, TIME FOR HOT STOVE! What is Hot Stove? Lovells Hot Stove nights have been popular winter events for years. In the quiet months of winter, when our summer visitors are gone and the nights are cold and long it is a pleasure to join neighbors at the township hall and listen to a variety of informative, interesting, and inspiring speakers. The coffee pot is always warm but guests are welcome to bring their own refreshments or items to share as we gather at the township hall every other Thursday evening at 6 PM. There is no cost to attend and we would love it if you would join us.

The first Hot Stove of 2026 will be Thursday, January 29th. The season's schedule is as follows:

• February 12 Lewie Johnson, Author, A Boy’s Memories: Growing Up on the North Branch of the Au Sable River,

• February 26 Tim Riley, DNR Wildlife Technician, Head of the Lower Peninsula Wolf Survey

• March 26 Bruce Barlow, DNR Wildlife Biologist and GEMS Manager

• April 9 Dr. Mark Luttenton, GVSU Fisheries Biologist

• April 23 Scott Smith DVM, President, Jim Foote Chapter Ruffed Grouse Society
