LTHS has been working behind the scenes to develop a strategic plan for the next five to ten years of growth and service.

As we consider the future of the LTHS we have many ideas of new things to do and things we can do better.
Our new website is a great example and as we launched it we thought carefully about our identity and decided that LovellsHistory.Org would be a better defined domain name than LTHSMuseums. Visitors to the old address will be automatically redirected to the new so there's nothing you need to worry about from the change.
Here's a few other things we are seriously considering:
Creating interactive touchscreen exhibits in the Schoolhouse to replace the current flip charts
Getting more, eventually all, of our photographic collection into the Schoolhouse digital exhibits
Building a handicap access (ADA) ramp for the Schoolhouse
Expanding the hours of both museums
Growing our collection of artifacts, photographs, documents and stories
Adding heating and cooling systems to the Trout Fishing Museum to help preserve our archived collection
There's lots more ideas and if you have any suggestions we want to hear from you. All of this is going to take some money so we are mapping a path into the corporate and private foundation grant world as well as trying to develop some corporate sponsorships. We've talked to all the retail and restaurant businesses in the township and developed a list of all the companies and suppliers they buy from and we are hoping some of those will be enthused to sponsor events like Hot Stove or our Podcasts. If you know anyone we should be talking to please let us know.
We are excited about the future and the potential to improve the Historcial Society and to continue to find ways to enrich our community life and we remain ever grateful for all the support and encouragement you provide us. Thank you.
